UNITING VOICES LEXINGTON
Uniting Voices Lexington is a non-profit youth vocal ensemble for students in grades 6 through 12 from across the Bluegrass region. Their mission is to develop young leaders through high-caliber music education, building unity, empathy, and community connection through performance.
The choir is led by Dr. Michael Preacely, who will also share a keynote in the opening session of EMERGE on The Transformative Power of Music. Not only is Michael United Voices Lexingtons founder and artistic director, he's also an internationally acclaimed baritone and university music educator.
BEN SOLLEE
Ben Sollee is a Grammy-nominated cellist, singer-songwriter, and composer from Kentucky known for his genre-blending approach that weaves folk, bluegrass, and jazz with his distinctive cello style. His work also includes scores for film and television and advocacy for social and environmental causes. Ben will be performing at EMERGE’s Closing Event on Thursday evening.
